Saw how good the reviews were on here so I decided to give it another try. I tried this place SEVERAL years ago nearly when they were open not even a full year and I wasn't impressed. But I kept seeing good reviews on it recently and I decided to give it another try. Can I just say, I was impressed! I decided to go all out and get the supreme sampler! (Old photos say its $31 now its $45) but I was thinking if its good and they give you your moneys worth cant complain right? So it consists of fish, shrimp, oysters, hushpuppies, wings and fries (tons of fries) with an extra side. Sheesh!!! But y'all... it was worth every penny! The gentleman said it would take 15 minutes... and he was not lying! I was in shock! Because 15 mins usually means 30 to 45 mins lol. The pans were piping hot and fresh. When my family and I dug in...y'all EVERY PERSON was satisfied, full with tons of leftovers! I would definitely come back. They absolutely redeemed themselves from the last time I went.
Yuuummmy! My family orders the sampler platter at least once per month. It's a generous serving of tasty, well seasoned catfish or red snapper, shrimp, fried oysters, hot wings, hush puppies, fries and your choice of sides. Well worth the price. Try it!
So it's been atleast a year I feel like since I been back here and the past couple weeks I been craving a fire shrimp po boy so it was only right I come to where they make them the best in my opinion! It worth the 20 minute drive from Pasadena to Rancho I'll tell you that much , the ambience and vibe inside is on point the owner and workers are all nice and welcome you as if they've known you forever ! Overall customer service here is over the top and Justin is always showing love came thru clutch with some tenders today for little man we order Cajun fries and Mac and cheese for him but he brought out the tenders because he thought about my son , he figured the Cajun wouldn't sit well and came thru with the tenders ! I appreciate you guys here thank you for the great food and if anyone is reading this I ADVISE YOU COME HERE AND EAT ATLEAST ONCE ! It's a must !
How good is the food here? I can eat the shrimp po'boy in less than 5 minutes. So so good and everyone is so nice! And it's a plus that there is no pork on the menu. Highly recommend this place!
Can anything deep fried really be bad? For your arteries, debatable. For your taste buds, never. We came in during lunch hour on a weekday and it was pretty busy. Because the food is made to order, it does take a little while but not overwhelming long. The inside of the restaurant is pretty minimal. A couple of larger tables and a couple of small tables. Keep this in mind in case you have larger groups. It also does get a little warm inside. I ordered the fried oyster and shrimp plate with a side of greens. My food came out fresh and hot. The greens were delicious! Tender and very flavorful. It seemed to have been soaked in some sort of meat/ sausage sauce which made it so flavorful. The coating of the fried food was very crisp which I think is the most important factor to consider in fried foods. Portion sizes are huge! It took me two days to get through it.
